I am excited to open the doors to my studio space at Canopy for the first time since 2019! My studiomate Court Loving (gorgeous photography) and I will greet you with color and excitement to share this beautiful space and environment with our community. Come visit us on the second and third weekends of Austin Studio Tour (now AST, formerly EAST) on the east side to see my recent work and workspace.
The 2023 Austin Studio Tour will be the 30th tour produced by Big Medium over the last 21 years. Over 2 3 weekends, the tour features 570 stops across the city highlighting Austin Artists, Art Experiences, and Dedicated Art Spaces.
Canopy is one of the hubs for the entire tour, it’s a space with over 70 shared studio spaces, several galleries, shops, and a coffee/restaurant on site. It can get busy (in the best way) so plan accordingly. My studio is in the first building on the second floor (there are elevators). The event is family friendly, however it can be packed and it has been known to get a little more party zone toward the evening (although this year cash bar - not free - so that should tamp down the party a bit hah). Plan your weekend through the Big Medium app, or catalog, there are too many great places to visit! Canopy will have food trucks, music, and a cash bar on site. It’ll be fun!
